My Book

Hi I'm Anna and I read the book Time for a Robbery.
One day two brothers (Ros and Jake) go to the museum and they see some thieves who try to steal the Museum, but as they realize later have to run after the thieves and have some problems (such as Ros falls down the stairs) but at the end they tell the police and get that thieves will go to the jail and come out in the newspaper.
This book I liked very much because I like more romantic stories, but I liked a little.

THE CHRISTMAS AND CHRISTMAS CARD ORGIN

This year we have done a very enterteining work of the origin of the Christmas:

Diverse theories exist on the origin of December 25 as day of the Christmas. The Romans were celebrating the holiday of the invincible Sol (Sol Invictus). From 221, in the work Chronographiai, Sixth Julio Africano popularized on December 25 as the date of Jesus' birth The Christmas (Latin: nativitas, 'birth') is one of the most important festivities of the christianity, together with the Easter of resurrection. Commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, is celebrated on December 25 in the catholic Church. The English-speakers use the term Christmas, whose meaning belongs ' mass to Christ '. In some Germanic languages, as the German, the holiday is named Weihnachten, which it means ' the night of benediction '. His name indicates, to celebrate Jesus' birth of Nazareth.

Not only the children write letters to the Father Christmas. The adults also have the illusion of gifts asking Father Christmas for him. In England all the houses are decorated by Letters, Trees, Mangers.....

The first commercial Christmas cards were supported by Sir Henry Cole in London, 1843, and they were offering the print of a family that was drinking wine together with a small child. 1.000 cards were sold it was for a shilling each one. The cards continued developing across the 20th century with change of taste and technologies of impression. The Christmas cards can be bought individually, but also they are bought in packages of ten.
This work is entertained, because this way you learn on other cultures.
